Patssi Valdez will discuss her long-term creative trajectory as an influential and groundbreaking Chicana artist. Foregrounded in the socio-political environment of the 1960s in Los Angeles, including Chicano/a youth activism that she participated in, Valdez will speak about how this context informs her artwork.
