All are Welcome

The Warrior Cross Cultural Center (WCCC) stands in solidarity with our Warriors in this collective pain and with everyone who has suffered the effects of racism and prejudice in our communities. We are committed to creating inclusive spaces on & off campus (and virtually) where racism, dehumanization and prejudice is NOT tolerated. Period. You are LOVED.

You are Welcome

The Stanislaus State community is here to serve current and prospective students who identify as members or allies of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, and queer communities. At the Warrior Cross Cultural Center, we aim to improve visibility and support for LGBTQ+ students and employees by promoting and publicizing available resources and services on campus. Stan State offers a diverse set of services that impact all areas of student life and aims to provide all students with a supportive and inclusive environment.

The Warrior Cross Cultural Center will host a private film premier titled "List of Demands"- a short documentary that shares the story of the student activists that fought for social change and space on campus. Discussion with student activist following the film. Light Reception begins at 6pm with Film Screening starting at 6:45pm. Must RSVP, seating is limited. Join us for a book talk with author, Dr. Anthony Ocampo. Growing up in the shadow of Hollywood, the gay sons of immigrants featured in Brown and Gay in LA could not have felt further removed from a world where queerness was accepted and celebrated. For these men, the path to freedom often involves chasing the dreams while resisting the expectations of their immigrant parents—and finding community in each other. Ocampo also details his own story of reconciling his queer Filipino American identity and those of men like him.
