Committee on Committees (COC)

The COC shall be composed of seven voting faculty members, including the Speaker and Speaker-elect. Four of these members shall be tenured/tenure track with one additional member who shall be from the General Faculty. All five members shall be elected by and from the General Faculty from a slate of nominees prepared by the Senate Executive Committee with no more than two of the five voting faculty members from any one college, the library, or counseling. 

Senate Executive Committee (SEC)

The SEC is composed of 10 voting members, including the Speaker, Speaker-elect, Clerk, the Chair of the University Educational Policies Committee (UEPC), the Chair of the Faculty Affairs Committee (FAC), the Chair of the Graduate Council (GC), the Chair of the Faculty Budget Advisory Committee (FBAC), Chair of the Academic Technology and Learning Committee (ATLC), the Chair of the Stockton Council (STKC) and the two Statewide Academic Senators. The Speaker serves as Chair the SEC.

Members of the General Faculty (as defined in Article III, Section 1.0 of the Constitution have the right to vote in University elections. Refer to the Constitution of the General Faculty.pdf.

Voting rights in colleges and departments are determined by each entity, with some rights provided to all faculty via the collective bargaining agreement.

The Undocumented Student Services in collaboration with Stanislaus State Financial Aid and Scholarship Office are hosting an in-person workshop to complete the CA Dream Act Application. The workshop's purpose is to provide students one-on-one assistance from the Financial Aid and Scholarship Department.

Leaves and Awards Committee (LAC)

The LAC shall be composed of five tenured voting faculty unit employees, with no more than two of the five tenured voting faculty unit employees from any one college. The membership may include no more than two librarians and/or counselors. All committee members shall be elected by tenured and probationary faculty unit employees. Members of the LAC are not eligible to apply for Sabbaticals and RSCA Grants.

All faculty unit employees and administrators who teach are required to conduct student perception of teaching surveys in no less than 50% of all courses per year with a minimum of one course per semester using written or electronic student surveys, also called “student opinion survey” or “student perception of teaching effectiveness” surveys using the campus approved form or approved substitute(s).
