Inventory current methods of communication utilized for informing students about important matters. Research and identify the most effective methods of communicating with students. Develop and implement a strategic current-student communication plan. Develop a work plan with a corresponding timeline. Liaise with faculty governance as appropriate. Report progress regularly to the GREAT Steering Committee.

Charge

GREAT expects to positively impact graduation rates and achievement gaps while maintaining student access to an engaging, high-quality education. GREAT will provide recommendations to the President and inform the campus community on strategies that will position the University to accomplish the following priority goals related to the Board of Trustees and Chancellor’s Office system-wide Graduation Initiative (GI) 2025:

Stanislaus State’s 11th president Ellen Junn dedicated her tenure to fostering student success, creating a congenial campus culture and increasing the University’s reputation for academic excellence, all while advancing diversity, equity and inclusion.

With Stanislaus State students away for spring break, the J. Burton Vasché Library, mentioned several times as the heart of the University, welcomed many of those who are keeping it beating. 

Many of the 245 donors who contributed to The Next Chapter Campaign, recognized on both the commemorative donor wall, and named spaces throughout the building, gathered to celebrate the successful fundraising drive.
