Summer Writing for K-12 Students

Great Valley Writing Project offers summer programs to help young authors develop their creative and academic writing talents. This year, GVWP writing programs will serve students in three different communities.

Need Help with Online Enrollment?

If you have any questions or difficulties during online registration, we'll be happy to talk you through the enrollment process. (The registration fees are less expensive when purchased online.)

Our intensive writing camps feature top instructors, engaging activities, and small-group mentoring (with one teacher for every four students). This is NOT your typical summer school.

What are Great Valley Writing Camps?

Important Information for Teachers who Enroll their Children:

Participating teachers may enroll their own school-aged children in the Great Valley Writing Camps at no charge. From 8:30-11:30 a.m., those children attend Writing Camp sessions led by credentialed teachers.

The Tuff Boy companies and Escalon community groups have contributed funds to ensure that students from low-income families in Manteca, Lathrop, Ripon, and Escalon can attend the Great Valley Writing Camps.

Who Qualifies For These Scholarships?

These full scholarships will be awarded to low-income applicants only. (If your child qualifies for free or reduced lunch at school, you probably meet the scholarship criteria.)
