A small cast of actors will present a reading of Professor of English Dr. Arnold Schmidt's adaptation of The Flying Dutchman, based on an early nineteenth-century melodrama. In its day, this popular play drew large audiences, entertaining with romance and comedy, action and supernatural elements. Our performance will feature music, sound effects, and costumes. The hour-long performance will be followed by an audience talk-back/discussion and Q&A with the cast. Free popcorn and refreshments will be provided.
Writing is an essential part of the job hunt including resumes and cover letters. We will also discuss the process of creating an online portfolio showcasing your accomplishments and experience.
