Stanislaus State celebrates day three of Commencement, honoring College of Education, Kinesiology and Social Work graduates and credential recipients dedicated to healing, education and service.

Stan State Art Space is thrilled to invite you to the opening reception for the Alumni Award Exhibition on Thursday, June 12, from 12:00--6:00 p.m. with artist talks at 6:30 p.m. The gallery is located at 226 N. First Street in downtown Turlock, and Admission is free of charge. Free on-street parking is available.

Stanislaus State’s second Commencement ceremony honored College of the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences graduates with a moving father-son hooding, student achievements and messages of pride and purpose.

Self-compassion isn’t about letting yourself off the hook — it’s about holding yourself with the same kindness and support you'd offer a friend. In the first episode of the “Taking Care of U” podcast, licensed therapists Julia Rosas Nieto and Jennifer Stafaro from Stan State’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) introduce listeners to the transformative practice of self-compassion.
