Spring '25: Breath & Be

Feeling stressed out and need some time to focus on the present moment? Please join us to drift into a meditative state by practicing mindful compassionate strategies. This group will be more of a drop-in meditation workshop and there might be students sitting down and walking away at different times. Feel free to bring your yoga mat, blanket, or floor pillows.

Facilitators: Juila Rosas-Nieto, LMFT & Jennifer Staffero, LCSW

reverse Career fair

Once a year we host the Reverse Career Fair to have our STEM CRU Interns and other students on campus present their projects and skills through a poster or demo to a group of local STEM employers. This event flips the script on traditional career fairs and allows the STEM Employers to walk around the room and visit the student tables to learn about the research they are doing under the mentorship of Stanislaus State faculty.

The next Reverse Career Fair will be on:

Have questions about recent re-envisioning of U.S. immigration law, e.g., birthright citizenship, the alien enemy act, visa revocation, and ICE in the Central Valley?

Bring your lunch and meet with Jennifer Cullison, U.S. Immigration History Professor, Guillermo Metelin Bock, Undocumented Student Services Coordinator, and Patrick Kolasinski, Immigration Lawyer.  Mr. Kolasinski will provide updates on the latest legal challenges for immigrants in the Central Valley as well as discuss ways to prepare and respond.

Retired couple Dieter and Hannah Renning’s $50 monthly donations to two scholarship funds show how giving small, consistent gifts can create a lasting impact for students.
