The Black Student Success Program will be hosting an event called Black Voices. The first discussion will unpack code switching, why we do it as Black folks and if you agree with practicing code switching or not.

A selection of unique local-history artifacts, manuscripts, and photographs honoring the diverse work of women in the Central Valley. Focused on the 20th century, this multi-media exhibition celebrates work, life, and legacy across a dynamic range of agricultural, domestic, professional, and educational fields.

Featured collections: Arnold Family (1900-1960), University Archives (1960-1999), Bernice Wood (1887-1963), and other local history highlights. 

Join us for a one-time workshop where you'll create a personalized journal to accompany you throughout the year! This creative session allows you to design and decorate your journal, incorporating meaningful prompts to guide your self-reflection and personal growth. Set powerful intentions, explore your creativity, and connect with fellow students in a supportive environment. All materials are provided, and you'll leave with a unique tool to help manage stress, enhance creativity, and foster personal development.
