For those who never made it to college, are pursuing a career that does not require a college degree, are considering a new career field, or want to enhance their college degrees, the Certificate Programs offered during the spring semester by California State University, Stanislaus Extended Education can fill the order.
A program titled "Writing Workshop for Women" that focuses on the healing process for victims of rape and abuse will be held in the Faculty Development Center at California State University, Stanislaus on Saturday, January 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. University Teacher Education Professors and authors Brenda Betts and Pamela Russ of the "Healing Ourselves Project" will coordinate the program.

The California State University, Stanislaus Tutoring Center and Office of Student Support Services will offer a California Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST) examination preparation workshop February 4-8.
Open to students and members of the community, the weeklong workshop designed to qualify student teachers for jobs will feature 9 to 11 a.m. sessions on mathematics and noon to 2 p.m. tutorials on reading and writing skills. The fee for the 20 hours of review and instruction is $100.
