California State University, Stanislaus and the Turlock Chamber of Commerce have joined forces to present a public forum on groundwater featuring experts from the university, city, county and state.

The motivation to give back to one’s community can come in many forms. For Carolina Alfaro, coordinator of CSU Stanislaus’ Early Assessment Program, that motivation came through tragedy.

Shirley Pok was appointed the vice president for University Advancement at CSU Stanislaus in April 2013. For the past year, she has worked to promote engagement with alumni, donors, community members and corporate partners, thus forging broad support for academic excellence and student success at the university and throughout the region.

Visitors to the CSU Stanislaus website today will find an entirely redesigned and modern look and feel, with an improved structure and navigation, among other benefits.

The website redesign process, driven by the Office of Communications and Public Affairs, has involved input from the campus community and marks the first major step forward for the university’s Web presence since the current site was launched in 2006.
