Robert Noyce Scholarships
for Future Math and Science Teachers
There is currently a high demand for math and science teachers in California and throughout the nation. California State University, Stanislaus is addressing this need and is committed to providing teacher candidates with the necessary tools for entering the workplace as highly-qualified math and science teachers.
The Robert Noyce Scholarship Program, funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), provides scholarship opportunities for Science, Mathematics, and Computer Science, and degree holders to support them in completing a Secondary (Single Subject) Teaching Credential. Scholarship recipients will benefit from a cohort support system, enhanced learning and professional development opportunities, and one-on-one mentoring from Stan State Math and Science Faculty.
Science, Mathematics, and Computer Science majors who have attained Junior level status, career changers/returning students who have been admitted into the Single Subject Credential Program are eligible to apply.
The Robert Noyce Scholarship Program will award annual scholarships in the amount of $13,000 in exchange for teaching service upon completion of a credential. Junior level scholarship recipients who maintain eligibility and fulfill program requirements will be eligible to receive a $13,000 scholarship annually for a maximum of 3 years, in exchange for a 2-year teaching service commitment in a high-need school for each $13,000 award received. Scholarships will be awarded each academic year and can be received by a recipient for a maximum of three years, as shown in the following table.
