The Stanislaus State McNair Scholars Program is accepting applications for the 2020-2021 cohort.
Applications will be evaluated as they are received until the slots for the 2020-2021 cohort are filled. McNair Scholars are selected on a competitive basis. All elements of the application will be closely evaluated by the selection committee to identify the students who best meet the purposes of the program.
This competition's priority preference goes to applicants who meet the low-income first-generation college student criterion.
McNair Scholar slots available based on criteria:
Low-income first-generation college student: 2 slots
Underrepresented in graduate education: 0
Applicants meeting the underrepresented in graduate education criteria are encouraged to apply during the 2021-2022 competition.
Finalists will be invited to participate in a 20-minute interview with the selection committee. Interview dates are to be determined. Selected applicants will join the program during Spring 2021.

For family units with more than eight members add the following amount for each additional family member: $6,720 for the 48 contiguous states, the District of Columbia and outlying jurisdictions.
The figures shown under family income represent amounts equal to 150 percent of the family income levels established by the Census Bureau for determining poverty status.
