Sending Professor Letters
DRS students can send their professor letters (a.k.a. accommodation letters) to their professors using the DRS Student Portal.
Step 1: Log into the DRS Student Portal.
Step 2: Once you are on the portal home page, select the “Professor Letter” tile. It is the second tile on the top row.
Step 3: Select the “Accommodations” button from the menu options. This will open the accommodations page where you can see which classes you have requested, and which professors have confirmed receiving your professor letter.
Step 4: Make sure you have the correct session (e.g. Fall 2025, Spring 2026) selected. If you change the selected session, click the "refresh" button to reload your classes.
Step 5: Click the "Request" button next to one of your classes. This will open the page where you select the classes you want to send your letter to.
Step 6: Review your accommodations to make sure everything is correct. Check the checkboxes for every class that you want your letter sent for.
- If your accommodations are correct, select the button indicating that they are correct.
- If you need to make changes to your accommodation list, then you can indicate this and your advisor will be notified.
Step 7: Check the checkbox agreeing to the terms of service, then click "Submit."
- Once you've submitted, you can see the status of your letters. Letters with a "Sent" status have been emailed to your professors.
- Click the "View letter" button to obtain a copy of the letter sent to your professor.
