A Week of Care and Connection

Stan State invites you to take part in National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, November 17–21. Participate in a variety of events and activities that bring attention to hunger and housing insecurity and highlight the ways our Warrior community supports one another.

Wrapped in Care Donation Drive: Oct. 30 - Nov. 12

Join us in supporting Warriors during National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (NHHAW) by donating essential items for students and families. Donation bins will be placed across both the Turlock and Stockton campuses.

We're collecting items such as:

  • Clothing: jeans, jackets, sweaters and more.
  • Food: canned good and other non-perishable items.
  • For Little Warriors: diapers, wipes, bottles, clothes, books and small toys
  • Parenting Support: wellness kits, journals and parenting guides
  • Study Supplies: notebooks, pens and backpacks

Fall Meal Kits

Students are invited to submit an interest form for a free Fall Turkey Meal Kit through Basic Needs. The form closes on Monday, November 17 at 8 a.m. Confirmation of pickup is required by Wednesday, November 19 at 2 p.m.

Kits will be distributed at both the Stockton and Turlock campuses.

Little Warriors Pop-Up

Wednesday, Nov. 19 | 11 a.m. - 12 p.m., Main Dining Patio

Join the Warrior Pantry and Warrior Eats for the Chopped Cooking Challenge. Watch as campus community members prepare a meal using ingredients found at the food pantry. Who will be chopped? Only one contestant will be crowned winner!

Get ready for some friendly competition! As part of NHHAW, three contestants will face off in an exciting live cooking challenge to see who can create the most delicious and inventive dish using ingredients — including some straight from our Warrior Food Pantry.
