The Writing Program at CSU Stanislaus strives to create professional development and teaching opportunities for individuals interested in beginning or continuing a career in teaching writing. Each fall semester, we have a variety of openings for qualified and experienced professionals to become part-time Lecturers and for graduate students to become Teaching Assistants. Applicants are encouraged to read the FAQ as it provides pertinent information concerning eligibility criteria, important dates and deadlines, and format guidelines. Who may apply?
We are currently accepting applications for part-time lecturers. Our part-time lecturers teach anywhere from one course a semester to full time equivalent or five courses a semester. Lecturers must have a master's degree in English or other related field as appropriate. Primary teaching opportunities include writing and critical thinking courses but may also include humanities and literature courses.
We are also accepting TA applications from any English MA student in good academic standing, but students who have taken ENGL 5894 and not taught more than two terms will have priority in hiring. The application deadline is March 1st for part-time applicants and March 15th for teaching associates.
