Welcome WarriorS!
Student Orientation and Transitions provides information and services designed to assist first-year and transfer students and their families with a successful transition into Stan State. Once students accept admission to the University, we offer a continuum of services from New Student Orientation to Weeks of Welcome. We want to make sure students have the resources they need to succeed.
Our goal is to help students learn what it means to be a Warrior academically, socially and culturally. Additionally, Student Orientation and Transitions highly values student leadership and development and employs over 30 student leaders to implement these university-wide programs on our Turlock and Stockton campuses.
New Student Orientation
An experience designed to help you prepare for your first year at Stan State. New Student Orientation is your opportunity to connect with peers to build relationships, explore resources, develop goals and learn how to be a successful Warrior. Once you accept your admission to the University, the next step is to register for New Student Orientation.
Please Note: New Student Orientation is a separate event from New Student Advising and Registration.
All new students are required to register for NSO. The deadline to self-select and register for your preferred NSO date is December 11, 2024. After December 11, all unregistered students will be registered to an available NSO date.
