Participating in research gives you an opportunity to learn about how studies with human participants are conducted, to learn more about interesting topics, to help researchers with their data collection goals, and perhaps to earn extra-credit for some classes.
Participating via SONA
Many studies conducted by Psychology and Child Development researchers recruit human participants via SONA Systems, an online participant management system.

- Enter SONA Website to sign up
- Last day to participate in studies: May 11th
- Last day for researchers to grant earned credits to participants: May 13th
- Last day to assign earned credits to classes: May 15th
Conducting Research
Conducting research gives you an opportunity to learn about how studies with human participants are conducted, to learn more about interesting topics, to analyze and interpret data, and to make meaningful contributions to general knowledge.
Ethics training and Psychology IRB
All researchers must complete ethics training and seek approval from the Institutional Review Board before collecting data.
