ORSP Workshops for Faculty

Partnering with ORSP: Navigating the Path to Research Funding

Friday, November 7, 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m., FDC 114

This workshop is designed as an overview for faculty who are interested in securing extramural funding to support their research and professional projects. Participants will gain insights into the current funding landscape and learn practical strategies for success, including how to identify funding opportunities, respond effectively to requests for proposals, and partner with ORSP to develop and submit competitive proposals. The session will also cover what to expect after an award is granted. The ORSP team will lead the workshop and provide time for questions and open discussion.

Strategic Prospecting: Identifying the Right Grants for Your Research

Wednesday, December 10 (Reading Day), 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., FDC 118

Finding the right funding opportunity is the first, and often most important, step toward research funding success. This hands-on workshop is designed to help faculty strategically identify grant opportunities that align with their research interests and goals. Participants will receive guided instruction on prospecting methods and tools, followed by dedicated time to begin the prospecting process for their own projects. ORSP staff will be on hand throughout the day to provide immediate feedback and one-on-one support.

Lunch will be included for participants.
