Economic recovery is well underway. However, key regional and national indicators — including falling interest rates, easy monetary policy and low tax rates are reversing course and how they impact the San Joaquin Valley will depend on how fast and how high interest rates rise.

That is the economic outlook for the coming year according to the biannual San Joaquin Valley Business Forecast produced by Gökçe Soydemir, the Foster Farms endowed professor of business economics at Stanislaus State.

Penumbra Online will be hosting its Fall 2021 virtual launch via Zoom on December 4th from 2-3 pm.  During this time, Penumbra Online will be announcing their journal cover art, Series Editors’ Picks, the Penumbra Press chapbooks, and much more. Fight the chilly weather with a hot drink and enjoy Penumbra Online as they celebrate their launch.

The Stanislaus State Jazz Ensemble and Combo will present a diverse program of Jazz standards, original music, and re-imagined music from the 19th century.
