Week 5 is a good time for all instructors, regardless of modality, to initiate some one-on-one contact with students to let them know how they're doing thus far in the course.  Since contacting each student individually is not usually manageable, OAT recommends the use of Canvas's "Message Students Who" tool.  This feature is available on the Grades page for the course.  In this situation, we're going to look at using it to send out two messages based on students' current total score in the course: Good (C+ or better) and Needs Support

The paper-mache doll is a distinctive traditional craft that became the dear play object and companion for many children in Central Mexico. Today, this tradition is struggling to survive, being kept alive only in the workshops of the few artisans who continue to produce paper-mache dolls, not for monetary gain but for the continuity of this beautiful art. In this single day workshop, you will sew and create your own doll using molded forms, string, embellishments and paint.

Leaders, Thinkers, Scientists and Artists with Disabilities

When instructional materials and learning environments are accessible, students with disabilities have the opportunity to thrive. Accessibility in higher education is not just about compliance — it’s about cultivating the next generation of leaders, thinkers, scientists and artists who will shape our society.
