Stanislaus State has received an $817,141 grant from Health Net to expand clinical training capacity for nursing students at the University’s Stockton Campus, helping prepare more highly skilled nurses to serve the Central Valley. 

The grant will fund the creation of the Health Net High-Fidelity Simulation Suite, a state-of-the-art learning space located in Willow Hall, the Stockton Campus’ new academic building, which is scheduled to be officially dedicated during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 26, 2026.

Guest artist Christopher Cayari brings a multidisciplinary performance to Stanislaus State, blending music, research and personal storytelling to explore identity while engaging students through performance, mentorship and dialogue.

Patrick D. Anderson will deliver two academic presentations hosted by the Department of Philosophy.

On the first day, he will present a research lecture titled “Anticolonialism Goes to the Movies: Ontology, Semiotics, and the Radical Side of Hollywood Film.” The talk will examine anticolonial theory as a methodological framework for interpreting contemporary cinema, drawing on major figures in anticolonial thought and applying semiotic analysis to selected films.
