Due to classes being conducted in a virtual modality across campus for the 2020 – 2021 academic year, any service learning placements will be conducted virtually/remotely. The following courses are considering conducting virtual/remote service learning activities.

The CSU Strategic Plan for Community Service Learning aims to make service learning opportunities available to every student in the CSU system. The following best practices are used to establish criteria for developing service learning courses and serve as a reference for implementing high quality service learning.

At the core of service learning is the principle that community service can be connected to classroom learning in such a way that service is more informed by theoretical and conceptual understanding and learning is more informed
