About the SJRE Commission

The Social Justice and Racial Equity Commission (SJRE) was established in the year 2020 in response to a surge in social and racial tensions including but not exclusive to the tragic murder of George Floyd. This commission serves under the direction of the dean and the College of Education, Kinesiology and Social Work Executive Committee. It aims to continuously monitor systems, practices and structures within our college to create an increasingly inclusive culture among and between students, faculty, staff and our community.
