Celebrate National Library Week and join us for a two-day event during the week of April 19th. 

This timely and thought-provoking film will be screened on Monday, April 20th. We invite you to come back for the panel discussion on Wednesday, April 22nd.

The panel will feature public, academic librarians from Stanislaus County as they discuss book bans, intellectual freedom, and the role of libraries in our communities.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is hosting an information session to share details about the positions they’re currently recruiting for, the application and hiring process and what it means to build a career with CHP.

Holding Police Accountable in California: Examining Citizen Complaints Against Officers

This presentation describes research on citizen complaints filed against police officers at 64 police departments and sheriff’s offices in San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Alameda and San Diego counties since 2019. It will highlight common types of complaints, the result of complaints, and challenges of collecting information from police that should be legally publicly available.
