A groundbreaking first-ever doctorate program and newly developed master's degree majors are raising and expanding the academic program at California State University, Stanislaus.

Multicultural women's history pioneer and author Vicki Ruiz, Dean of Humanities at UC Irvine, will speak about famed labor leader and civil rights activist Luisa Moreno at California State University, Stanislaus on Tuesday, March 4 as the College of Humanities & Social Sciences celebrates Women's History Month.
A second program titled "Writing Workshop for Women" that focuses on the healing process for victims of rape and abuse will be held in the Faculty Development Center at California State University, Stanislaus on Saturday, February 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. University Teacher Education Professors and authors Brenda Betts and Pamela Russ of the "Healing Ourselves Project" will coordinate the program.
