Tell Our Stories: Artifacts from the Assyrian Genocide

The exhibition opens June 30, 2022, and is on display through August 7, 2022. The gallery is open from 12 to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and Friday, and from 12 to 9 p.m. on Thursday.

In addition, Stan State is hosting special opening and closing programs for the exhibition that will feature guest speakers and access to the exhibition outside normal viewing hours. The opening program will take place July 1-2, 2022, and the closing program will take place August 7, 2022. Further details can be found on the Opening Program page.

The exhibition will be on display at the University Art Gallery. The Gallery is located in the Theatre Building (#7 on the campus map) on the Stanislaus State campus in Turlock.

The Art Gallery (#1 in the map below) is located in the first floor of the Theatre Building, across from the Mainstage Theatre. 

The exhibition will be made available online after August 2022 through the Sarguis Modern Assyrian Heritage Project at Stan State, and will be featured alongside a forthcoming oral history project of Assyrians in the Central Valley. If you are interested in sharing your family's history as part of this public history effort, please contact the project director, Dr. Erin Hughes.
