Chemistry majors will be contacted via email prior to the fall & spring semesters by their assigned advisor. If you need a Chemistry major advisor assigned please reach out to sfinch2@csustan.edu.

The following chemistry degree model plans are provided as a general guide. They are only intended to reflect one possible way to satisfy degree requirements for the major & general education within a four-year time-frame. Each student should meet with a chemistry department advisor to create a plan that is appropriate for their career path and preparation level. There are many possible variations, but it is important to realize that courses in the chemistry major are sequence specific.  A flowchart is provided to help visualize prerequisites for the courses in the major within each degree plan. Transfer students should pay particular attention to which courses should & should not be taken before transferring to Stanislaus State.
