Our Job Fairs Have Gone Virtual!
Employers continue to seek our students and alumni. We may not be able to meet in person, but there are still great opportunities to make connections. Be sure to review the materials below to put your best foot forward at our next virtual event.
Prepare for upcoming events with the following steps:
- Ensure your HireStanState profile is filled out with current information (Profile Completion)
- Have your resume critiqued by one of our career coaches via walk-in hour or by scheduling an appointment through HireStanState.
- Upload your current resume to HireStanState.
- Log in to HireStandState and REGISTER for the event.
- Select the times you will meet with employers, either in 1-1 or group sessions.
- Attend a Virtual Job Fair workshop or meet with a career coach to prepare.
- Dress to impress and make sure you are in a distraction-free environment during the event.
- Follow up after the event, either by applying online, connecting with recruiters online, or sending a thank you email. Take notes and reflect on your experience. What would you do differently next time? What worked well for you?
Virtual Career Fair on HireStanState
Our job fairs will be hosted virtually this semester, through HireStanState which is powered by Handshake. Students will be able to sign up for an opportunity to meet with employers in either a group or 1-1 setting. As the opportunities to participate in this virtual event will be in group or 1-1 sessions, registration is required.
