Services for Students
Psychological Counseling Services office will be closed due to construction, starting November 17, 2021. Counseling services will continue to be available via telephone and zoom. PCS will post on our website once construction is complete, estimated in early December.
Crisis consultations are designed to assist students who are confronting life-threatening circumstances, current or recent traumatic crises, or serious mental illness. To be seen for a telehealth crisis consultation, one of the issues below should be present:
- Current suicidal thoughts, serious thoughts of harming yourself, and the potential need to be hospitalized
- Current thoughts about seriously harming another person
- Current symptoms such as: seeing or hearing things that others do not see or hear, feelings of paranoia, lack of need to sleep for the last several days and still having plenty of energy, and major difficulty functioning
- Traumatic event (accident, natural disaster, death of a loved one, or physical violence)
- Sexual assault
- Incident of domestic or dating violence
Please call PCS at 209-667-3381: PCS is operating with limited team members on site. We may not hear a knock at the door. When you call, you will be asked screening questions and informed of the next steps.
