Eligibility and Application

  1. New freshman and transfer students interested in WUE must apply to the University first. For information about admission requirements and to apply online for admission to the University, visit: Cal State Apply.
  2. Once you have submitted your online University application, download and complete a WUE contract form and email it to Lisa Bernardo at LBernardo@csustan.edu. In the subject line, please type "WUE contract form."

Interested Students:

  • Must request the WUE tuition rate prior to enrolling in their first term.
  • Must declare their intent to maintain their legal domicile in their home WICHE state at the time of their application.
  • WUE students are not eligible for California resident tuition. Students cannot apply time accrued while participating in the WUE program to establish California residency.
  • Students may receive the WUE tuition rate for four years or until the completion of the bachelor's degree, whichever comes first.
