Jude Paul Dizon, Ph.D. (he/him/siya) is an assistant professor of higher education leadership at California State University, Stanislaus. The goal of his research is to promote racial justice in higher education. Currently, Dr. Dizon’s research agenda includes policing, campus racial climate, the experiences of formerly incarcerated students, campus safety, and abolition. Dr. Dizon engages in national and comparative research on higher education leadership and organizational change for equity, men of color retention, race-conscious approaches to student development and success, and cultural validation. Dr. Dizon has held progressive leadership roles in multicultural affairs and services for first-generation, low-income students in the four-year university, community college, and private Jesuit settings. He holds a Ph.D. in Urban Education Policy from the University of Southern California and a MA in higher education and student affairs administration from the University of Vermont.
