TURLOCK, Calif. — Stanislaus State closed the books on its 62nd Commencement ceremonies on Friday, May 27, in spectacular fashion by celebrating Class of 2022 graduates from the College of Science and the College of Education, Kinesiology and Social Work.

John and Jeani Ferrari have received many awards for their activism and philanthropic work uplifting the city of Turlock and the greater Central Valley. On Thursday, May 26, the couple added another accolade to their list: honorary doctorate. 

During Stanislaus State’s Commencement ceremony for the College of the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, the University and the California State University conferred the Ferraris an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters.  

TURLOCK, Calif. — With hundreds of parents, family members, friends and supporters looking on with excitement and pride, Stanislaus State honored graduates from the Class of 2022 Thursday, May 26, during the first two of four Commencement ceremonies to be held this week in the University Amphitheater. 

The festivities began with the College of the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences ceremony in the morning followed by the College of Business Administration commencement at 4 p.m.
