Brazilian soprano Veruschka Mainhard returns to Stan State to present a diverse program of Brazilian music for solo voice and piano. Dr. Mainhard will perform standards of the Brazilian classical repertoire for the voice, including works by Villa-Lobos, Lorenzo Fernândez, Mignone, and others. Dr. Mainhard will also perform the world premiere of Dr. Daniel Afonso's newest piece, "Caminante, no hay camino," based on the poem of Spanish writer Antonio Machado. Dr. Yan Yan Chan, Stan State staff accompanist, and adjunct faculty will assist as collaborative pianist.
This will be an overview of what academic honesty is as well as the policies and procedures. We will have a conversation about artificial intelligence (AI) and the role it plays in higher education. Additional workshops and the link to register can be found at the link below.
STEM majors are invited to learn more about the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Program. Monthly LSAMP meetings will include hands-on workshops, presentations, discussions about opportunities for graduate school and summer research and/or how to prepare an application for those opportunities.
