The Emotional Toll of the California Wildfires

The wildfires in California are horrific, causing injuries, loss of lives, damage and destruction of homes, and businesses. Long after the final flames are extinguished, the emotional toll will remain. The session will help you better understand normal reactions to traumatic events like this natural disaster and how to help yourself and others. This is a Support Session offered by our Employee Assistance Program.

Does the “arc of history” bend toward justice, as Martin Luther King Jr. believed? As we observe the 60th anniversary of the 1965 Voting Rights Act, Professor Bret Carroll will consider the history and health of minority voting rights since then, with this question in mind.
