Kilolo Brodie, ChairSocial Work Department Chair and Master of Social Work Program Director

Dr. Brodie has been teaching at the graduate-level for over thirteen years. She received her Ph.D. from Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 2008; obtained her MSW from Stan State in 1998; and earned a bachelor’s degree from Clark Atlanta University. Her research interests focus on advocacy for underrepresented and disenfranchised groups. In 2013, she was appointed by California Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. to the State Council on Developmental Disabilities. Dr. Brodie has worked as a county child welfare worker and for community collaboratives as a family group conference coordinator/facilitator. She has been providing trainings for human service organizations for over 10 years.
