Accessibility Café | Access for All

Join us for the Accessibility Café. This weekly drop-in space is for faculty to get hands-on support with digital accessibility. Faculty Fellows Dr. Cassandra Drake and Dr. Leona Calkins will be available to answer questions, demonstrate tools, and guide you in making your course materials more accessible.

Drop in anytime—stay for a few minutes or the full hour!

  • 1st / 3rd Tuesdays, 10:30–11:30 a.m. with Cassandra
  • 2nd / 4th Wednesdays, 2 – 3 p.m. with Leona

General Accessibility - Thursdays

For Faculty: 

These trainings will teach basic digital accessibility skills/understandings and aid instructors in starting strong with their instructional design. Topics include the WCAG standards, POUR principles and understanding the new Title II requirements, technical skills such as using accessibility tools in MS Word and PowerPoint and core skills like writing/applying Alt text, heading structure and creating descriptive links.

Canvas Remediation with UDOIT  - Fridays

For Faculty, Student Employees or Admins/Staff:

These one-and-a-half-hour(1.5 hrs) sessions will use our two CO-provided tools — TidyUp and UDOIT — to remediate content in Canvas.

WebAIM Accessible Documents Training

This course helps faculty and staff create accessible Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and PDF documents with a bonus option to learn about spreadsheet accessibility. Participants gain long-term skills to integrate accessibility principles into instructional materials and course design.

UDOit and Tidy Up by Cidilabs

UDOIT & TidyUP Support Sessions

Learn how to use TidyUP and UDOIT by Cidi Labs in Canvas to clean up course clutter and fix accessibility issues. These sessions provide hands-on support and allow participants to apply what they learn immediately. Live Online (1-hour synchronous sessions)

Register at least 24 hours in advance
