Eligibility
In accordance with California’s Prop 209, and in agreement with the SCOTUS SFFA, June 2023 ruling which prohibits using race, ethnicity, or sex as criteria in public employment, public contracting and public education, a student must meet all three (3) criteria below to be eligible to participate in the CSU STEM Pathways Alliance:
- Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Be enrolled at a participating CSU campus in an undergraduate major in a STEM discipline.
- Be an individual interested in pursuing graduate studies or join the workforce in a STEM field that is outside the health profession degrees or careers.
When to Join
CSU-SPA applications are accepted throughout the academic school year. Those who are admitted are immediately eligible to qualify for all stipends and other benefits of the CSU-SPA program.
Application Procedure for CSU-SPA
- Complete a CSU-SPA Application Form.
- Provide the name and email of a teacher or counselor who knows of your math/science abilities.
- If you have completed less than a year of college, attach transcripts of all of your high school work.
- Attach transcripts of all college-level course work completed.
- Send the application, attachments, and required information to csuspa@csustan.edu.
