Applied Behavior Analysis, Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention, Skill Acquisition, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

My research interests span the following areas: (1) effective, efficient, and socially valid interventions that address skill acquisition for individuals on the autism spectrum, (2) implementation and theory of ACT, and (3) implementing effective supports for Tier I classrooms. Specifically, my research evaluates behavioral skill acquisition interventions (e.g., DTT, instructive feedback, activity schedules) to determine the efficacy and perceived social acceptance within early intervention settings. I am also interested in the implementation of ACT (e.g., metaphors, verbal behavior) during caregiver and client support training and supervision. Finally, my research on Tier I classroom supports primarily evaluates methods for assisting teachers in implementing effective classroom management strategies.
