Christina Acosta completed her MA degree in Sociology at UC Merced, her BA degree in Chicano/a Studies and Psychology at CSU Fullerton and she was a transfer student who began her education journey at Fullerton College while she worked full time at Disneyland. She is applying to the Indigenous Race and Ethnic Studies Ph.D. program at the University of Oregon Eugene this year so 2022-2023 may be her last year of teaching at Stan State! Christina began teaching at Stan in Spring 2019 and has led Into to ES, Contemporary Race and ES, Women of Color Feminisms, The Latinx Family and Latinx Communities courses. Christina lives in Long Beach, CA with her partner and her fur baby Luna. She enjoys reading, writing, singing, and traveling.
