Dr. Heather Dean received her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas Tech University. Much of her career was spent teaching English at the junior high and high school levels.
Currently, she is an Associate Professor of Teacher Education at California State University, Stanislaus where she has the privilege of working with future junior high and high school teachers. She has research interests in teacher retention, literacy education as well as understanding the best practices for training new teachers.
In her spare time, Dr. Dean loves reading, hiking, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Dean is available to meet with students via Zoom.
