Defining Creative and Analytical Problem Solving

Using the following AAC&U VALUE rubric as a starting point, the Creative and Analytical Problem Solving (CAPS) FLC developed and administered a survey in spring 2018 to gather faculty feedback on assessing this core competency at or near graduation. Survey feeback will be used to refine a working definition.

A habit of mind characterized by the comprehensive exploration of issues, ideas, artifacts, and events before accepting or formulating an opinion or conclusion.
