Stanislaus State is offering the campus community 10 virtual events focused on social and environmental sustainability to mark April as Earth Month.

It’s easy to think you know California’s Central Valley. Every city along Highway 99 seems to share the same strip mall, sun-beaten subdivisions and frontage road. Everyone who lives in those cities knows the area where they live, the fun section of their slowly revitalizing downtown and the location of their favorite food trucks.

The Undocumented Student Services in collaboration with Stanislaus State Financial Aid and Scholarship Office are hosting a virtual workshop to complete the CA Dream Act Application. The purpose of the workshop is to provide students an opportunity to receive one-on-one assistance from the Financial Aid and Scholarship Department.

Generally, the First Amendment and California Constitution protect all speech, although some forms of speech have varying degrees of lesser protection. Limitations on speech are typically called Time, Place, and Manner limitations. You can review Stanislaus State's Time, Place, and Manner policy.

Free speech protections give us power by allowing us to express ourselves about all matters of importance. It is important to note that freedom of speech does not allow us to silence those with whom we disagree.

The California Constitution provides, “Every person may freely speak, write or publish ... sentiments on all subjects, being responsible for the abuse of this right. A law may not restrain or abridge liberty of speech or press.” California Constitution, Article I, Section 2(a).
