Stan State history students engage innovation in their study of history. As capstones to their degrees, students can complete traditional written research projects as well as public-facing ones. 

The Ethnic Studies Department invites you to the 5th Annual Healing Masculinities through Collective Voices: Teatro Izcalli community event on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 7:00–9:00 p.m. at the State Theatre of Modesto. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. This is open and free to the public.

This year’s event is presented in collaboration with the Stanislaus County Office of Education, with additional support from on-campus partners including the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, the Office of Inclusive Excellence, and the Male Success Initiative.

This workshop is dedicated to the event connected to the Ethnic Studies Department’s 5th Annual Healing Masculinities through Collective Voices: Teatro Izcalli.

Drop by for Cafecito y Loteria (coffee and bingo) and help us kick off Hispanic Heritage Month.

We will be playing Library Loteria (bingo) in the Library Patio, located on the south side of the library, from 2:00 to 3:30 pm on Monday, September 15th. It'll be a fun afternoon of Lotería (Mexican bingo) and a chance to win prizes, as well as learn research skills!
