The Chemical Inventory System (CIS) is a web based system that facilitates the collection and storage of information related to chemical types and amounts within campus laboratories and facilities. This system meets the CalEPA requirement to begin using the internet to file required Unified Program information and additionally assists the CSU in compliance with: Cal/EMA, California Fire Code, Cal/OSHA and CUPA Hazardous Materials Business Plan reporting needs.

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi — the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines — has recognized Stanislaus State’s chapter as a Circle of Excellence Gold Chapter, the second-highest commendation a chapter can receive from the organization.
The award is given to chapters that exceed expectations in operations and that demonstrate sustainability and vitality. Since Stanislaus State Chapter 282 was chartered in 1999, it has inducted more than 1,800 members.
