The California State University (CSU), Stanislaus School of the Arts Department of Theatre is pleased to present special guest artist Richard Henzel in a performance of “Mark Twain in Person.”

Henzel will take the audience on an extraordinary voyage into the world of Mark Twain—the man, the author, the literary icon—by combining material from Twain’s novels, short stories, speeches, and essays, a well as improvisation, to recreate an authentic Mark Twain lecture, circa 1906.

DETAILS: The CSU Stanislaus Troops to College Committee, in partnership with the American Red Cross, will host its third annual National Salute to Veteran Patients event at the flagpole in the quad from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 20.

Details: World-renowned poet, author and civil rights activist Nikki Giovanni will visit CSU Stanislaus in an event presented by the university and the Atwater-Merced Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
TURLOCK, Calif. — March 11, 2013 — California State University (CSU), Stanislaus, has been named to the 2013 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, the highest honor a college or university can receive for its commitment to volunteering, service learning and civic engagement.

It's the seventh consecutive year CSU Stanislaus has received the designation. The university's Office of Service Learning works with faculty members and more than 2,400 students every year on community service projects and community-based research initiatives
What: 18th Annual César E. Chávez Celebration

When: Wednesday, March 27, 2013. Quad activities will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Event Center program will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Where: CSU Stanislaus Quad and Event Center, Turlock

Details: The community is invited to participate in César Chavez Day commemorative activities celebrating the civil rights leader and his legacy. Daytime activities in the Quad include information booths, a César E. Chávez display and karaoke.
