Our October recap of recognitions, accolades, awards, gifts and honors for the Stanislaus State campus community includes programs that received major grants and the University landing in national rankings. - Project Rebound earned coveted affiliation and a $113,000 grant from the California State University Consortium of Project Rebound, one of five grants awarded to CSU members with Project Rebound programs.
- The Hispanic Outlook on Education Magazine ranked Stan State No. 50 in the nation for the number of bachelor’s degrees awarded to Hispanics and No. 84 for total enrollment of Hispanics at four-year universities in its annual “Top 100 Colleges and Universities for Hispanics ” issue.
- Stan State continues to be recognized nationally for its commitment to sustainability and green practices. The University is featured in The Princeton Review’s 2021 “Guide to Green Colleges,” released Oct. 20, as one of the most environmentally-responsible colleges in the United States and Canada earning a Green Rating of 82.
- The Promise Scholars Program at Stan State, which assists former foster youth to continue their academic journey, received a $50,000 grant to help pay for a variety of academic essentials including housing, textbooks and graduation costs among other things.
