Stanislaus State English Professor Brett Ashmun, whose outside-the-classroom approach to teaching is inspiring a new generation of students, is being honored as a Literary Hero by the Great Valley Bookfest. Ashmun’s teaching techniques were highlighted in a Stanislaus State feature.
The free festival, an annual one-day event held this year in the parking lot of the Promenade Shops at Orchard Valley in Manteca, is designed to be an opportunity for authors and book lovers to join together in a festive environment.
