While face-to-face advising is not possible with social distancing and stay-at-home orders in place, the Academic Success Center is still available remotely. Students are encouraged to utilize general advising online and over the phone.

The simple process requires going to the Academic Success Center webpage and choosing the Online Academic Advising option. Appointments are available from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and students may choose which advisor they would like to meet with via Zoom or phone call.

For Stockton students, advising and student services contacts can be found on the Stockton Campus Academic Advising and Services webpage.

A live chat function is also being implemented soon, which will allow both Stockton and Turlock students to instantly receive answers to questions submitted to the Academic Success Center chat.

If students do not have internet access, they may call the Academic Success Center at (209) 667-3700 and leave a message indicating their needs and the advisor with whom they wish to speak.

Since fall registration is nearing — April 27 — these resources are important to ensure that students are on staying on track toward their degrees.

“We encourage students to reach out now and make an appointment,” said Gabriela Nuño, director of the Academic Success Center. “We’re hoping by not placing advising holds that any related stress is lifted, but know that we are still here for you and ready to meet your advising needs.”

To prepare for an advising appointment, students may use online resources such as STAN Planner, to map out their classes, STAN Degree Progress, to make sure they’re on track to obtaining their degree, and STAN Scheduler, to create an ideal class schedule. Guides are available for all of these resources via My Academic Pathway.
