University Guidelines for Immigration Officer Interactions
Remain Calm | Remember to remain calm if the interaction causes concern. Safety is our top priority. |

Report |
If the agent does not respond and proceeds assertively with their actions or enters nonpublic spaces without permission, do not interfere or obstruct them. Call CSUS Safety and Risk Management at (209) 535-3437. |
Inform |
If the agent presents a warrant or subpoena, inform the agent that you are not obstructing their process and do not have the authority to respond to the request. Call CSUS Safety and Risk Management at (209) 535-3437. The Director of Safety and Risk Management is the campus official designated to review federal warrants and subpoenas. |

Report | Report as soon as possible what you see or read to the campus police department. Call CSUS Safety and Risk Management at (209) 535-3437. |
Inform | Provide as much information as possible when reporting. Doing so will help verification efforts. Do not interfere or obstruct the agents. |
If an interaction occurs, follow the protocol above (If You See A Federal Immigration Officer) for being approached by an officer.
